Director of Missions

Wayne Perkins became the Director of Missions March 1, 1999. He came to associational work after having pastored churches in West Tennessee for over 32 years. His most recent pastorate was at the First Baptist Church in Kenton, Tennessee. Wayne and his wife live at Greenfield and belong to Bethel Baptist Church.

Wayne married Linda Kay Garner on April 24, 1964 and they have three children. Jeff and his wife Tammy live at Greenfield, Tennessee and have four children, Jakob, Brett, Haley, and Graham. Clark and his wife Larissa live at Rutherford, Tennessee and have two sons, Garner and Aubrey. Wendy and her husband Steven Tate live at Kenton, Tennessee and have two daughters, Riley Jo and Molly.

Wayne is a graduate of Union University and Mid-Continent College.

Linda Kay Garner Perkins is a native of Weakley County and a 1963 graduate of Dresden High School and The Bruce Business Institute. She has been married to Wayne Perkins since April 24, 1964 and they have two sons, a daughter and eight grand-children.
Linda has served in every role conceivable in churches as a pastor's wife for over 32 years. Since March of 1999 she has served as Minstry Assistant in the Weakley County Baptist Association. Linda is a talented musician and singer as well as an able assistant to the association and her DOM husband.
